Can your character's mind be cloaked? The Girl's telepathy is essentially like radar for people. It lacks the higher functions of articulate conversation, but she can see a mind as easily as she can see a face. However, if your character can mask their mental presence, it stands to reason she won't be able to "see" them.
Can your character's emotions be read? Another part of The Girl's telepathy is that she can skim the surface of a mind and get a general impression of someone by picking up on someone's current emotional state. At best, if they're thinking very specifically about something, she might get a general idea of what they're thinking about, but no specifics. If this isn't cool with you, please let me know.
Is your character a telepath? While The Girl can't read minds very well, she can easily pick up whatever a telepath puts down. Sometimes even when you aren't sending it to her (but she tends to be polite about that).
